Many of the inquiries we receive from potential applicants centre around what they should show in their application. We put together the below set of tips and hints that we hope will help you in preparing your application.
Helpful Hints to Consider When Applying
Selection will be on a competitive basis. The Review Panel will review the applications against the stated eligibility criteria and the ‘SMART Company’ principles of:
S- Skills – you need to know the basics
M– Masters – once you know the basics, you need to become a master
A– Accreditation – where possible, you will become accredited in your profession
R– Recognition – you will be recognised for all your educational achievements
T– Timely – this is a call to action now, not something to be done later.
Other factors considered by the Review Panel include:
- Applicant’s commitment to the sector;
- Applicant’s commitment to learning and education;
- Contribution to organisation and/or sector potentially realised from the learning outcomes of the course; and
- Relevancy of course to core job responsibility (current or future position).
The Review Panel consists of ASI’s Managing Director, ASI’s Director Administration/Human Resources, and an ASI employee invited on a rotational basis each quarter.
