Report on MDU - Whitelion

Madison Down Under 2007 was my first experience thanks to a scholarship awarded to me by ASI Smart (Company Scholarship Fund) and it was brilliant.
I was one of 18 participants in the Strategic Marketing for Fundraising track led by Michelle Campbell from the Canadian Hospital Foundation at St Joseph’s.
MDU was ‘full-on’. I was expecting it to be busy, but I don’t think I could’ve imagined how much learning could have been packed into the four days in South Australia.
The Strategic Marketing track was great for me as it enabled me to further develop my marketing skills in the non-profit arena. I was able to hear various marketing principles from our track leaders, but also many real examples from their own careers in the sector. The workshops allowed time for myself and other participants to contribute to (and even challenge) the discussions and learn from one another.
